Last week we held the postponed Wilbrahams' Feast (our 5th annual feast). The event was called 'Around the world in 80 dishes' and 80 guests were entertained by local travel photographer and Bake-Off finalist Ian Cumming. Ian chatted through incredible landscape and foodie photos from Tibet, China, Jamaica, and Malawi whilst brewing Tibetan yak butter tea and stir frying Sichuanese mapo tofu for us all to sample. The long tables were groaning with a wonderful array of food from around the world, all delicious and: surprise, surprise, it was almost all gobbled up! The foodie quiz stumped quite a few teams and Ian's true or false, (beef or baloney) game kept everyone on their toes. A HUGE thanks to Ian; to Dru Goryn for help with the organising; to Judy Whybrow and Cheryl Patey for stalwart help behind the bar and washing up, to Emily Oliver for running the raffle and Rosie White for the gorgeous flowers. And of course to everyone who came, and contributed their most tasty dishes from all over the globe and helped clear up at the end. Everyone went home happy and full!
